The strategic selection of an email template builder is foundational to modern marketing operations. These platforms vary significantly in their core architecture, ranging from standalone design utilities to comprehensive marketing suites.

In this review, we analyze six prominent options to clarify their fundamental operational paradigms and ideal use cases, providing you with a strategic framework for your investment decision.

Top 6 Email Builders Compared: Features & Pricing

We tested the top email design platforms to help you choose. Our review covers app integrations, reusable templates, testing tools, global features, and pricing.

1. Stripo.email

Stripo.email is an email design platform for creating professional, responsive emails without coding. It provides a drag-and-drop editor with HTML/CSS editing for both non-technical marketers and expert designers. The platform supports everything from basic newsletters to complex interactive AMP emails.

Marketing teams, agencies, and businesses of all sizes use Stripo for its efficient production capabilities. Its comprehensive features also serve department heads and finance professionals who require consistent branding and streamlined email creation.

Key Features:

  • Drag-and-drop & HTML editing modes;
  • 1,600+ pre-built templates;
  • Interactive AMP email components (e.g., carousels, accordions);
  • Mobile and dark-mode preview;
  • Reusable content blocks & modules;
  • Real-time collaboration tools;
  • One-click export to 80+ ESPs;
  • A/B testing and analytics integration.

Integrations & Ecosystem

Stripo provides extensive integration options, featuring direct export capability to over 80 ESP and CRM systems. These include major platforms such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

The one-click export mechanism transfers finished email designs immediately to marketing systems. This process removes manual reformatting requirements and significantly shortens the production timeline from initial design to final deployment.

Reusable Elements & Design System

The platform emphasizes operational efficiency and brand consistency through reusable components. Users save custom modules and blocks to a shared team library.

Stripo enables formal design systems with enforced brand guidelines covering colors, fonts, and approved modules. These systems maintain visual coherence across teams while accelerating production.

Testing & Optimization

Stripo incorporates built-in testing and optimization features. It conducts A/B testing for subject lines and content through ESP integrations. The platform provides rendering previews across devices, email clients, and dark mode. Analytics integration tracks key performance metrics, supporting data-informed campaign refinements.

Localization & Accessibility

Stripo facilitates global campaigns through localization features that simplify multilingual email creation. The platform includes accessibility tools and guidelines compliant with assistive technology standards. These features help organizations meet regulatory requirements while expanding audience reach.

General Information

Founded in 2017, Stripo.email has built a team of approximately 70 professionals and maintains exceptional user satisfaction ratings, including a near-perfect 4.9/5 on both Capterra and Software Advice complemented by a strong 4.4/5 on Trustpilot.

Pricing & Plans

Stripo uses a freemium model:

  • Free: Core features, 4 monthly exports.
  • Basic (~$15/month): 50 exports, premium templates.
  • Medium (~$45/month): 300+ exports, collaboration tools.
  • Pro/Business (~$95+/month): Advanced permissions, API access.
  • Enterprise (Custom): White-label, SSO, dedicated support.

2. Mailmodo

Mailmodo is an all-in-one email platform focused on interactive AMP emails. Its no-code editor allows users to create, send, and manage campaigns in one interface. The platform suits e-commerce and lead generation teams that use interactive elements like quizzes and forms to increase engagement and conversions.

Key Features:

  • No-code interactive AMP & HTML email builder;
  • Library of 20+ AMP widgets (e.g., polls, carts, calendars);
  • 200+ pre-made email templates and 100+ reusable blocks;
  • Automated fallback to HTML for non-AMP clients;
  • Campaign and journey automation.

Integrations & Ecosystem

Mailmodo connects with HubSpot, Salesforce, and Zapier, but cannot directly export to other ESPs. This makes it incompatible for teams using separate design and sending platforms. Its closed-loop system also offers limited data synchronization and workflow automation compared to competitors.

Reusable Elements & Design System

Mailmodo provides basic reusable blocks and brand style configurations. The platform lacks a centralized design system for multi-brand management or version control. These limitations restrict customization options and challenge template consistency across large teams.

Testing & Optimization

The platform supports fundamental A/B testing and standard engagement analytics. Its optimization capabilities exclude multivariate testing, send-time optimization, and interaction heatmaps.

Mailmodo also omits critical pre-deployment checks for spam filtering and email client rendering, potentially compromising deliverability and display performance.

Localization & Accessibility

Mailmodo offers limited multilingual workflow support, requiring manual campaign duplication for different languages. Its accessibility features consist primarily of basic guidelines rather than automated compliance verification. Designers must manually ensure WCAG standards for alt-text and color contrast without platform assistance.

General Information

Mailmodo launched in 2020 with a team of approximately 60 employees and has earned a strong 4.5 out of 5 user rating on G2.

Pricing & Plans

Mailmodo’s pricing is tiered based on features and list size, with all plans subject to email credit and contact limits.

  • Free: $0/month. Core AMP features with mandatory branding and no A/B testing.
  • Lite: ~$39/month. Higher sending limits, 5 automated journeys. No A/B testing or branding removal.
  • Pro: ~$79/month. Includes A/B testing and removes branding.
  • Max: ~$159/month. Unlimited automated journeys with API access for data export.

3. Tabular

Tabular is a specialized email template builder that creates responsive HTML emails using a drag-and-drop interface without coding.

It serves small to mid-sized marketing teams, freelancers, and agencies needing to efficiently produce clean, functional templates. The platform streamlines the design-to-export workflow for professionals who prioritize rendering reliability and brand consistency.

Key Features:

  • Drag-and-drop email builder;
  • Library of pre-built blocks and templates;
  • Reusable “team blocks” for brand consistency;
  • Inbox preview testing across email clients;
  • Clean, responsive HTML code output.

Integrations & Ecosystem

Tabular’s ecosystem is limited. It offers direct export to only a few major platforms like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and HubSpot. Users of other ESPs must manually copy and paste HTML code, undermining workflow efficiency. The platform functions as a template factory rather than a comprehensive campaign tool.

Reusable Elements & Design System

The platform supplies elementary reusable blocks and default brand styling. It does not support an enterprise-level design system. Missing components include version control mechanisms, multi-brand management frameworks, and centralized asset repositories.

This elementary approach to design reuse prevents rigorous brand governance. Consequently, the system fails to meet the requirements of large enterprises demanding precise brand management.

Testing & Optimization

Tabular confines testing operations to email client preview functionality. The platform contains no integrated A/B testing, audience segmentation tools, or analytical capabilities.

All performance assessment and optimization processes must transpire within a separate email service provider after template export. This operational structure restricts Tabular exclusively to design functions, eliminating its participation in post-campaign analysis.

Localization & Accessibility

Tabular delivers fundamental utilities for creating multilingual and accessible email content. However, it contains no automated workflow solutions for these tasks.

The system provides no automated translation management or accessibility validation protocols. This dependency on manual execution throughout localization and accessibility processes elevates the probability of implementation inaccuracies.

General Information

Launched in 2023, Tabular operates with a lean team of under 40 employees and has earned impressive user feedback, including a high 4.8/5 rating on G2 alongside a 3.7/5 score on Trustpilot.

Pricing & Plans

Tabular’s pricing is primarily tiered based on the volume of templates you can export and test.

  • Free Forever ($0/month): Access to 37 templates and the builder. Limited to 3 exports/month.
  • Plus ($29/month): 100 exports/month with direct integration for platforms like Mailchimp and Klaviyo.
  • Pro ($39/month): Unlimited email exports for high-volume users.
  • Organization ($99/month): For teams, includes 5 user seats and 300 daily email previews.

4. Braze

Braze is an enterprise platform for multi-channel customer engagement. It executes real-time, personalized marketing across email, push notifications, and in-app messages.

The system targets medium-to-large companies in e-commerce, mobile apps, and SaaS that possess robust technical resources. These organizations require scalable solutions for millions of users and utilize first-party data for message customization.

Key Features:

  • Cross-channel campaign orchestration;
  • Real-time personalization and segmentation;
  • BrazeAI for content optimization;
  • A/B and multivariate testing;
  • Comprehensive customer data platform (CDP).

Integrations & Ecosystem

Braze connects with enterprise data platforms, including Salesforce and Snowflake. These integrations enable comprehensive data collection. Implementation demands substantial technical resources.

Organizations typically require dedicated data engineers to maintain these complex pipelines. This infrastructure complexity presents significant challenges for teams lacking specialized technical expertise.

Reusable Elements & Design System

Braze supports centralized content blocks and templates that update across multiple campaigns. The platform nevertheless lacks a comprehensive design system. It omits crucial features for multi-brand management, version control, and systematic asset organization.

Braze prioritizes content recycling over enforcing complete design uniformity across marketing materials.

Testing & Optimization

Braze provides A/B and multivariate testing with analytics to identify top-performing content. However, its optimization tools focus mainly on content and timing.

The platform lacks email-specific diagnostics like spam filter testing, inbox placement analysis, or interaction heatmaps, requiring supplementary tools for these functions.

Localization & Accessibility

Braze enables multilingual campaigns through user language attributes and offers accessibility guidelines. Its main limitation is the absence of automated workflows for these tasks.

Without integrated translation management or accessibility auditing tools, teams must manually handle multilingual content and verify compliance.

General Information

Founded in 2011, Braze has expanded its workforce to over 1,500 employees and maintains strong 4.5/5 ratings from both users on G2 and employees on Glassdoor.

Pricing & Plans

Braze uses a custom enterprise pricing model that requires contacting their sales team. This results in no public pricing, making it difficult to compare costs without a lengthy sales process.

5. SendPulse

SendPulse is a multichannel platform that manages customer engagement through email, SMS, push notifications, and CRM tools.

It serves small to medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs who need an affordable, unified solution for automating communication. It centralizes various marketing channels, making it a practical choice for cost-conscious teams aiming to implement basic multichannel campaigns.

Key Features:

  • Drag-and-drop email editor;
  • Marketing automation across multiple channels;
  • A/B testing for emails and pop-ups;
  • Segmentation for targeted campaigns;
  • Integrations with e-commerce platforms and CRMs.

Integrations & Ecosystem

SendPulse provides numerous integrations with services, including Google Calendar, WooCommerce, and Zapier. These cover typical small business requirements. Integration depth remains inconsistent across platforms.

Many connections handle only elementary data synchronization. The system lacks sophisticated API-driven connectivity and pre-built connectors for enterprise platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot.

Reusable Elements & Design System

SendPulse includes elementary reusable blocks for headers and footers. Customization options for colors and fonts remain limited.

The platform contains no centralized design framework. It omits version control systems, multi-brand management capabilities, and governed asset libraries. These absences create consistency challenges during organizational growth.

Testing & Optimization

SendPulse delivers fundamental A/B testing for content and subject lines. It tracks standard open and click metrics. The platform contains no advanced optimization features.

Missing components include multivariate testing, spam filter analysis, inbox placement verification, and behavioral analytics. These limitations constrain comprehensive campaign optimization.

Localization & Accessibility

SendPulse allows multilingual campaigns and provides accessibility guidance, but lacks automated workflows. It has no built-in translation management or dynamic content switching, requiring manual setup for different languages. For accessibility, it depends on user knowledge rather than automated WCAG checks or validation tools.

General Information

With a team of 180, SendPulse has built a strong reputation since 2015, reflected in its excellent 4.6 out of 5 ratings from users on both Trustpilot and G2.

Pricing & Plans

SendPulse structures its pricing in tiers based primarily on subscriber count.

  • Free ($0/month): 500 subscribers; excludes template export.
  • Standard (~$8/month): Enables template export.
  • Pro (~$10/month): Up to 10 users; increased automation.
  • Enterprise (Custom): Unlimited users, domains, and automation.

6. Chamaileon

Chamaileon is a collaborative email template builder focused on providing flexible design control for responsive emails. It serves design agencies, enterprise marketing teams, and professional designers who need detailed styling and layout customization.

The platform emphasizes precise design and collaboration capabilities over deep ESP integrations or built-in campaign management features.

Key Features:

  • Advanced, flexible email editor with pixel-level control;
  • Nestable structure elements for complex layouts;
  • “Show on Mobile / Show on Desktop” editing;
  • Reusable blocks and shared team libraries;
  • Built-in image editor.

Integrations & Ecosystem

Chamaileon provides fewer native integrations than most comprehensive marketing platforms. It can connect with major ESPs, like Mailchimp, HubSpot, and SendGrid, using Zapier and webhooks. However, its core function is as a design exporter.

This often requires users to manually manage HTML code or download ZIP files to move their designs to a sending platform. This extra step complicates the workflow, making it less efficient than all-in-one solutions.

Reusable Elements & Design System

The platform provides robust reusable blocks, including locked “master” blocks that update globally across templates. However, it lacks enterprise-grade design system capabilities.

Critical omissions include multi-brand governance frameworks, component version control, and comprehensive brand token libraries. These limitations reduce its effectiveness for large organizations managing complex brand architectures.

Testing & Optimization

Chamaileon provides strong pre-send rendering previews across email clients and devices, including dark mode. However, it lacks campaign optimization tools entirely. With no A/B testing, performance analytics, or engagement tracking, all optimization must be handled through a separate ESP, making it solely a design and rendering tool.

Localization & Accessibility

The platform includes basic features for multilingual emails and accessibility, like alt-text fields. However, it doesn’t automate translation management or accessibility checks. This means teams have to handle all translations and compliance verification manually.

General Information

Since its founding in 2013, Chamaileon has operated with a compact team of fewer than 25 employees while maintaining excellent 4.5/5 ratings across both Capterra and G2 review platforms.

Pricing & Plans

Chamaileon’s most significant constraint remains its pricing structure. Plans start at $300 per month and provide limited user seats. This premium positioning places it substantially above competing solutions.

The absence of an entry-level pricing tier further narrows its suitability. Consequently, the platform primarily serves large enterprises or agencies with dedicated design tool budgets.

Conclusion

Among all tools evaluated, Stripo looks like the superior solution. It delivers the most balanced combination of usability and advanced capabilities. The platform consistently outperforms competitors across all critical functional areas. Its adaptable pricing structure accommodates organizations at every growth stage.

For teams seeking one tool that effectively addresses all email design requirements, Stripo stands as the definitive choice.

Serpstat.com is a service for complex internal and external analysis of the site, as well as analyzing competitors’ sites. The service allows, after loading the project, to check the site for errors, correctness of used meta-tags, broken links and so on, which will eventually show the total SDO (Serpstat Domain Optimization – internal index of domain quality calculated in percent). After checking the site, the service will point out SEO errors, which it divides into critical and non-critical.

Actually with this task is quite cope with the program Netpeak Spider, which by the way kraulit site times faster. If the quality indicator is a stretch, and internal errors can be transferred to third-party programs, then such indicators as the number of reposts in social networks and the number of top keys by region, the thing is interesting and for this service a big five.

Also, the service partly “takes away bread” from Key collectora, because serpstat have already implemented a service for collecting semantic core. Moreover, if in Key collector you just received at the output of a huge base of semantic core, which is still to be cleaned and analyzed, then in serpstat collected base can immediately check the level of competition, the cost of a click in contextual advertising, frequency and distribute the structure of the site. And all this in conjunction with the analyzed pages of your site, in the end we get a semantic kernel to expand the structure of the site and the evaluation of existing pages.

Competitor analysis in serpstat.com

The service allows you to detect competitors of the analyzed site and track not only positions by specified keys, but also analyze competitors’ pages with high visibility by content ranking factors. Everything is logical enough and due to serpstat and work on competitors you can quickly make adjustments to the content development of the resource. It is possible to analyze competitors up to 200 domains, it will seem a lot at first glance, because the TOP consists of only 10 positions, but no. Each site and each business is unique and the intersection of interests at two sites do not always coincide, perhaps one site is engaged in selling only laptops, while the second competitor sells desktop computers, then the owner of the site that sells both laptops and desktop computers, will have to track already 2 competitors.

In general, the system is very nice and the interface userfrendli. It is immediately noticeable that the system is for professionals, because serpstat initially thought of a system of access with unlimited number of users.

The cost for such a large toolkit is not high – from 15.2$ per month with an annual subscription, and with a 3-year subscription, you get a 40% discount. Now there are also free offers for testing the system.

Minimalistic CRM for managing projects and small groups of employees (convenient as a personal organizer). Management – through a system of simple task cards. There is a full-fledged free version.

Trello is a web-based collaboration service that can help organize and manage projects using cards.

The main advantage of Trello is the ability to view several simultaneously running projects and their current status. For working with a group of developers or other executives working on projects with deadlines or goals, this system can give you an overview of project progress.

Trello’s main focus is on stacks of cards. Each pack shows the status of any project. For example, if you’re recruiting a team for a job, the first column will have cards with resumes, the second will have the candidates themselves for interviews, the third may have meetings, the fourth may have past events and meetings, and the fifth will show results as immediate candidates

The cards have many possibilities. They are for discussions, votes, uploading files and data. It is possible to set deadlines, assign text and color labels. To assign an executor to any task, you need to select it from the list of your work team in the card or simply drag the executor’s avatar to the task from the right.

It is important to note that all team members can see changes in real time and can monitor the status of individual performers – online or offline.

Trello is available both in a web interface and as an iPhone application. On the iPad, the web service works similarly to the desktop implementation. Use of all versions is currently free.

Trello features:

  • Board branding;
  • Access management;
  • Task automation;
  • Calendars and spreadsheets;
  • Notification system;
  • Setting deadlines;
  • Integration with popular services: Google Drive, Slack, Evernote and others.
